“ We came for the 1/2 price whiskey tastings during happy hour and it did not disappoint! Sooooo many to pick from and the 1/2 price makes it easier to try some of those more expensive whisky’s on the list! ”
“ I came here with my wife for a date night. The menu is actually quite compact. We ordered 2 sides and 2 meats and we had a small bit of extra food left over. We ordered Empanadas as well as the bacon wrapped corn on the cob. Both sides dishes were good but I would try other dishes next time to mix it up. The corn was good but the bacon wrap was a bit of a novelty and not practical to eat that way. We went with Brisket and Pulled pork for our meats. Both were good! I also tossed in a cornbread which comes with honey butter. The butter was dreamy and definitely worth the small price for this little bread. ”
“ we often visit this place on weekends, and our experience is always 5/5. i’ve tried all the meats here and never been disappointed. the potato salad and broccoli salad are my favorites. the only dish i didn’t like was the watermelon salad. pork, ribs, brisket, and sandwiches are always juicy, fresh, and tasty. service is good despite the place being busy. great selection of drinks and a nice atmosphere. will definitely be back. ”

“ This place is great! We’ve been here several times and enjoyed pretty much all of their smoked meat dishes and sides, several whiskies, beers and cocktails. This last time we brought out of town friends and they all enjoyed it. Some of our faves were the brisket, pork ribs, pulled pork and beef ribs. I had a super tasty cocktail with tea leaves sprinkled on top. Lindsay was our server and she was a star! Top notch across the board. ”

“ I'd heard Calgary does good BBQ, and whomever said that clearly had gone to the Comery Block. They had their ribs on special (Monday night) and I had them dry. They were well seasoned, lovely smoke flavour, and they have 3 sauces on the tables, a mustard based, a sweet and sticky and a nashville hot style. All were bang on to their style. The bar tender was great, and full of information about the city as well as about the food and enviable whiskey and whisky selection behind the bar. Also the local beers were top notch too. Very much recommended. ”
